SPECIAL MIEETING <br />N[INUTES <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF AD.JUSTMENT <br />CITY HALL <br />• •.� <br />ii <br />The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton, Chairman at <br />12: 00 p. m. <br />The following members were present: David Hamilton, Brady Fisher, A.W. Clem, <br />Louise Hagood, Chris Fitzgerald, and Benny Plata. <br />Also present was Carla Easton, City Engineer; and concerned citizens. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (May 1, 2018 and June 22, 2018) <br />Motion was made by Louise Hagood, seconded by David Hamilton to approve minutes for <br />the May 1, 2018 and June 22, 2018 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />3. Public hearing to consider of and take action on the petition of Charles Edwards on behalf <br />of William Harlan, on Lot 5, City Block 252, being located at 1770. E Washington Street. <br />The petition requested a variance of Section 9-200 (1) of the Zoning Ordinance which <br />provides as follows: <br />9-200 (1): <br />(1) Schedule minimum lot widths- Residential districts. <br />2F minimum lot width- 60 FT <br />The applicant is proposing to construct a home on a lot 54.72 foot wide. The applicant is <br />requesting a 5.28 foot variance in width. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />Carla Easton, City Engineer, spoke in favor of the petition. Mrs. Easton stated that during <br />the plat process, it was discovered that the lot did not meet the zoning requirements; <br />however, a newly constructed home on this lot would improve the neighborhood and <br />recommended the petition be approved. <br />No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by A.W. Clem, seconded by Benny Plata to approve the 5.28 foot <br />variance in width. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
