<br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-009 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />FOR THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS TO BE HELD ON THE FIRST <br />SATURDAY IN MAY, 1996, SAME BEING THE 4TH DAY OF MAY, 1996, <br />BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 O'CLOCK P.M., <br />BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF DISTRICTS I, 2, 3 AND 6 OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, WITH EARLY VOTING FOR THE SAME BEING <br />CONDUCTED IN THE CITY HALL ANNEX WEST, FROM THE 15TH DAY OF <br />APRIL, 1996, THROUGH THE 30TH DAY OF APRIL, 1996, MONDAY <br />THROUGH FRIDAY, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND <br />5:00 O'CLOCK P.M., FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE COUNCIL <br />MEMBERS FROM EACH OF SAID DISTRICTS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE ENSUING TWO YEARS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />Section I. That a regular municipal election for the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, be held by the qualified voters of Districts 1, 2, 3 and 6 of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, on the first Saturday in May, 1996, same being the 4th day of May, <br />1996, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.M., for the <br />purpose of electing four (4) members of the City Council of the City of Paris for two <br />year terms, as follows: <br /> <br />One Council Member from District One (1) <br />One Council Member from District Two (2) <br />One Council Member from District Three (3) <br />One Council Member from District Six (6) <br /> <br />as provided in Paragraphs 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of Order entered March 15, 1976, in <br />Civil Action No. P-75-3-CA, in the District Court of the United States for the <br />Eastern District of Texas, Paris Division, and as provided in the Charter of the City <br />of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas wherein they do not conflict with said <br />Order. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election officials of such election <br />shall be as follows: <br /> <br />District One (I): <br /> <br />Polling Place: <br /> <br />Public Works Building <br />50 West Hickory <br /> <br />Officials: <br /> <br />Edith Bills, Presiding Judge <br />Frankie Dangerfield, Alternate Presiding Judge <br /> <br />District Two (2): <br /> <br />Polling Place: <br /> <br />City of Paris Police & Courts Building <br />811 Bonham Street <br />
