MINUTES <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18,, 2018 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order at S: 30 p. m. by Keith <br />Flowers, Chairman. <br />The following members were present: James O'Bryan, Keith Flowers, Mihir Pankaj, John <br />Lee, Sims Norment, and Chad Lindsey. <br />Also present were John Godwin, City Manager; Carla Easton, City Engineer; Clyde Crews, <br />Fire Marshal; Triniti Frazier, Community Development Coordinator and concerned <br />citizens. <br />Absent member: Rick Hundley. <br />2. Election of Officers: <br />A. Chairman <br />Motion was made by Sims Norment to elect Keith Flowers as Chairman, seconded by <br />John Lee. Motion carried 4-2. <br />B. Vice -Chairman <br />Motion was made by Mihir Pankaj to elect Chad Lindsey as Vice -Chairman, seconded <br />by Sims Norment. Motion carried 6-0. <br />3. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (August 6, 2018) <br />Motion was made by Chad Lindsey, seconded by John Lee to approve minutes for the August <br />6, 2018 meeting with correction to member name on Item 5. Motion carried 6-0. <br />4. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of John Bell for a change in <br />zoning from an Office District (0) to a General Retail District (GR), in the Baker Addition, <br />Block B, Lot 1, being located at 2300 Clarksville Street. <br />John Godwin, City Manager, discussed the background and status of issue with <br />commissioners. <br />
