<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />ql>-Inl> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, provides <br />funding for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application for the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grant in the <br />approximate amount of $56,897.00, which partially funds a project which will include two <br />Juvenile Justice Resource Officers, in the approximate total amount of $113,794.00, which <br />requires a 50% local matching contribution of approximately $56,897.00, of which the <br />City of Paris and the Paris Independent School District each will provide one-half in the <br />form of matching funds and in-kind services; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 01<' THE CITY 01<' PARIS: <br /> <br />I. That an application be made to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice <br />Division for a Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grant in the approximate <br />amount of $56,897.00, which partially funds a project which will include two Juvenile <br />Justice Resource Officers, in the approximate total amount of $113,794.00, which requires <br />a 50 % local matching contribution of approximately $56,897.00, of which the City of Paris <br />and the Paris Independent School District each will provide one-half in the form of <br />matching funds and in-kind services. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br />hereby appointed as the Authorized Official, of said project and is authorized and directed <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for grant in the form attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Karl Louis, be, and he is hereby appointed as Project Director and is <br />hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all reports, <br />communications, assurances, and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute <br />funds for purposes of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED ml, 10m day of ~. ~ <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />"J- <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Eric S.
