Fulton, Director <br />Aviation Division <br />Texas Department of Transportation <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Fulton: <br /> <br />The City of Paris by this letter and accompanying resolution indicates its intent to pursue <br />financial assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation for the following <br />improvements to the Cox Field Airport: <br /> <br />Reconstruct (1500x150) & rehab (6000x150) RW 17-35 <br />Stripe & mark RW 17-35 (48000 sf) <br />Rehab TW A (3900x50) <br />Rehab TW B (430x50) <br />Replace MIRL RW 17-35 (6000 If) <br />Seal PCC joints & mark apron (320x900) <br />Install PAPI -4 RW 17 <br />Install aircraft tiedowns <br />Drainage improvements <br />Install erosion/sedimentation controls <br />ALP & Exhibit "A" <br /> <br />The cost of these improvements is presently estimated to be $2,400,000. The City of Paris <br />understands that financial assistance may be available for 90 percent of the eligible costs. The <br />remaining share of eligible costs and any ineligible costs shall be the responsibility of the City of <br />Paris. The City of Paris further understands that its full share shall be due in cash upon Texas <br />Department of Transportation written request, or within 30 days of complete execution of the <br />Airport Project Participation Agreement. <br /> <br />The City of Paris also indicates its intent to enter into an Airport Project Participation Agreement <br />with the Texas Department of Transportation, naming the Texas Department of Transportation <br />as its agent for the purposes of receiving and disbursing all funds for these improvements and <br />for the administration of contracts necessary for the implementation of these improvements. <br />The City of Paris has reviewed the text of the Texas Department of Transportation's standard <br />"Airport Project Participation Agreement," and has found the terms and conditions of the <br />Agreement to be acceptable. <br /> <br />Sincerely <br /> <br />Eric S.
