in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That Section 26-1, "Composition of department," of Chapter 26, <br />"Police," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />"Sec. 26-1. Composition of department. <br />The police department of the city shall be composed of the chief of police and <br />fifty-six (56) members classified as follows: <br />(1) One (1) Assistant Police Chief <br />(2) Three (3) police captains. <br />(3) Six (6) police lieutenants. <br />(4) Five (5) police sergeants <br />(5) Forty-one (41) police officers." <br />Section 3. That Section 26-9(1) of Section 26-9, "Seniority Pay," of Chapter 26, <br />"Police," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />"(1) For all non -ranking officers, seniority pay shall be added to each officer's <br />base pay, based on the following schedule of years in service to the city police <br />department: <br />"a. Officers with two (2) years of service and less than four (4) years of <br />service — Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per pay period. <br />"b. Officers with four (4) years or more of service and less than six (6) <br />years of service — Sixty-eight dollars and sixty-one 61 cents <br />($68.61) per pay period. <br />"c. Officers with five (6) years or more of service and less than eight (8) <br />years of service — Eighty-seven and eighty-five cents ($87.85) per <br />pay period. <br />"d. Officers with eight (8) years or more of service and less than ten (10) <br />years of service — One hundred forty-five dollars and fifty-four <br />cents ($145.54) per pay period. <br />"e. Officers with ten (10) years or more of service and less than eleven <br />(11) years of service — One hundred eighty-six dollars and <br />sixty-eight cents ($186.68) per pay period. <br />
