Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 19, 2018 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:01 p.m. by Carol <br />James, Chair. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Carol James, Christina Schock, Marilyn Threadgill, Rebecca Umphrey, Denise <br />Kornegay and Director Priscilla McAnally. Absent were Connie Dodd and Ashley Lassiter. <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the November 21, 2018 meeting were unanimously approved. <br />New Business: <br />Staff members Louise Webb and Jerry Jarrell gave presentations on their duties and <br />contributions at the library. <br />The board approved the expenditure of $2000 to help with the cost of the replacing the roof over <br />the original section of the library. <br />Old Business: <br />Presentations: <br />• Budget Report was presented with no comments. <br />• Statistical Report was presented with no comments. <br />Friends of the Library: <br />The Santa Pajama Story Time went well with approximately 57 children and adults attending. <br />Amanda will also be sending another newsletter soon. <br />Director's Remarks: <br />The library has been invited to participate in Head Start's first Resource Fair scheduled for February <br />26. <br />The director has meetings with Ted Henderson of City Square Paris and Jason Macchia with the <br />Boys and Girls Club to talk about how the library's resources can help those organizations. <br />Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m. <br />Submitted by <br />Priscilla McAnally for Ashley Lassiter, Secretary <br />
