Paris Visitors & Convention Council <br />Board of [Directors Meeting <br />December 17, 2018 at 4:00 pm <br />Members Present: Jeff Nutt, Bryan Hargis, Or. Linda Kapp, Tony Corso, Ryan Whitaker, Brenda Wells, Mark Pankaj, <br />John Godwin, Bryan Glass, Casey Ressler, Trey Glascock, Greg Wilson and Dustin Broadway. <br />Staff Present: Paul Allen, Gina Crawford, Randy Nation and Becky Semple. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4�:00 pm, <br />Mlin,utes... ... The board was given a few minutes to read the November minutes. A motion to, approve was made by <br />Casey Ressler, seconded by Mark Pankaj, Motion passed unanimously. <br />Financials were presented by Bryan Glass, a motion to approve the financials was made by Mark Pankaj, seconded <br />by Casey Ressler, Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for Tower City Comedy Festival. They asked for $2500.00. Based on <br />the scoring system in place a motion to approve $1525 was made by Casey Ressler, seconded by Trey Glascock. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple announced a workshop for WCC funding requests and scoring criteria scheduled for January 8, 2019 <br />at 11:30 am in the Chamber boardroom, <br />Casey Ressler stated that he and Bryan Hargis have been looking at pricing for a race time clock. The quote they <br />had was for $5,000 with a yearly fee of $250. They will continue to do more research. <br />Randy Nation stated the engine for the trolley finally came in, it will not be ready until after the first of the year. <br />Paul Allen stated that we will go to the City Council on January 14, 2019 to present the proposed Love Civic Center <br />renovations. He also said that we need to be mindful of our marketing money. We want to gain new events and <br />we have money in a non -hot account if it's needed. He also stated that the VCC will be paying $500 per day to the <br />Civic Center for any days that are used for events once the VCC's contracted three days have been used. <br />Becky Semple stated that she will gather three years' worth of funding send to Jeff Nutt. He will put into an excel <br />sheet for the board to see. <br />Motion to adjourn at 4:51 pm. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Gina Crawford <br />
