Problems Encounter~Ce.g., what where they, how they imp.cted program, and how were they handled): NONE <br /> <br />The Paris Junior Olympic Boxers had two regional Golden Gloves champions. <br />?rogra~s are effectively reaching children and giving them a constructive <br />for their aggressiveness. <br /> <br />Boxing <br />outlet <br /> <br />Our Karate program is growing by an average of twenty five (25) children a month <br />and is currently involving about one hundred and forty (140) children. In late <br />January,1995, about forty (40) participants were promoted to more advanced belts. <br />Tnis indicates that these children have been faithfully attending classes for one <br />:full year. <br /> <br />Our Spring Basketball League involved sixty (60) boys, age 13-15. Over thirty (30) <br />young ~en were turned away because we simply did not have resources to accomodate <br />them. <br /> <br />?art of our strategy for the remainder of fiscal year 1995-1996 includes a major <br />building project funded mostly by local contributions. <br /> <br />.e are working with other local groups such as: Community Resource Coordination <br />Group, and the Lamar County Coalition of Business, Education and Industry to try <br />a~d coordinate local involvement to most efficiently meet the needs of our cities <br />c~ildren. <br /> <br />Summer programs include an anti-gang involvement program featuring a "Fishing <br />7ournament" for fort)' children ages 8-14 and a beginners marksmanship and <br />s~ooting program for thirty youth. ages 12-1i. <br /> <br />B1.3 <br />
