<br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-016 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, provides <br />funding for Criminal Justice Planning Fund (421 Fund) grants, which provide funds for <br />the hiring of a juvenile officer\juvenile gang officer; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application for the Criminal Justice Planning Fund (421 Fund) grant in the approximate <br />amount of $42,000.00, for the funding period from September 1, 1995, to August 31, <br />1996, being 100 % of the estimated cost of hiring a juvenile officer/juvenile gang officer, <br />along with related expenses; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />I. That an application be made to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice <br />Division, for a Criminal Justice Planning Fund (421 Fund) grant in the approximate <br />amount of $42,000.00, for the funding period from September 1, 1995, to August 31, <br />1996, being 100 % of the estimated cost of hiring a juvenile officer/juvenile gang officer <br />and related expenses. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br />hereby, appointed as the Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for grant in the form attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Tommy Haynes, be, and he is hereby, appointed as Project Director <br />and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all reports, <br />communications, assurances and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson. Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized <br />and directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute <br />funds for purposes of the Criminal Justice Planning (421) Program. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of January, 1995. <br /> <br /> <br />ro Tern <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />\1 <br /> <br />-- <br />
