Large tree fell on house knocking off <br />front porch and creating hole in roof, exposing attic. Additional hole in roof. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Demo within 30 days, or city has right to <br />do so. <br />Owner: Joyce Freeman, 2211 E Polk, Paris TX. Have re -done house twice. <br />Tree has been cut up. Pile of brush hauled off. Ready to fix roof and porch. <br />Have already put about $25,000 into house, inside and out. Would like to repair. <br />Discussion: <br />Owner asked for 30 days to repair. <br />Motion made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Mike Folmar to give owner 60 <br />days to repair, and brought back to BSC at next meeting for review. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 7-0 <br />A. 1St National Bank; City Block 8, Lot 7 & 8 <br />Owner: CTRA Property Holdings Corp, 8004 Two Coves Dr, Austin TX 78730 <br />Robert Talley stated property previously presented Oct 15, 2018, with repair <br />orders for 90 days to repair basement structure beneath sidewalk. Handout of <br />Bustamante report (attached to these minutes) references in numerous places <br />sidewalk needs to be closed and subsurface repairs made. To date, no permits <br />have been pulled or work done. City has installed permanent fencing for public <br />safety since no repairs have been done. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Assess civil penalties of $50 per day on <br />structure beginning 30 days from today assuming work has not been done. <br />Discussion: <br />West wall was repaired on this building. <br />Motion made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Sally McEwin to assess $100 <br />per day civil penalties. Owner has received notice of the provisions of <br />Chapter 7, Article III of the City of Paris Code of Ordinances; and after <br />owner received notice failed to take action necessary for compliance with <br />said article and further failed to comply with the terms of the October 15, <br />2018 order.
