Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on <br />behalf of the City of Paris, the Grant Acceptance Notice in the form of Exhibit A <br />attached hereto. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grant be, and the <br />same is hereby, accepted. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that <br />the City of Paris accept said Grant Award and continue to improve the Juvenile <br />Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program in the City of Paris; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within thirty (30) days of the <br />date of said award which occurred on April 12, 1995; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division has issued <br />its Grant Award, entitled, "JUVENILE JUSTICE RESOURCE OFFICER" for the <br />year beginning April 1, 1995, ending March 31, 1996, in the amount of $64,449.00, <br />which partially funds a project in the total amount of $128,898.00, which requires <br />a 50 % local matching cash contribution of $29,666.00 of which City of Paris and the <br />Paris Independent School District each will pay one-half, with the remainder of the <br />50% match in the amount of $34,783.00 being provided in in-kind services provided <br />partially by Paris Independent School District in the form of counselling services, <br />office space and furnishings with the City providing a patrol unit, radios, etc.; and, <br />
