Paris Visitors & Convention. Council <br />Board of Directors�� <br />February 18, 2019 at 4:00 pm <br />Members Present: Bryan Hargis, Ryan Whitaker, Lisa Walker, Dustin Broadway, Dr. Linda Kapp, Mark Pankaj, Bryan <br />Glass, Casey Ressler, Trey Glascock, Greg Wilson and Chadlee Johnston. <br />Staff Present: : Paul Allen, Gina Crawford and Becky Semple. <br />Lisa Walker called the meeting to order at 4:01 pm. <br />Minutes......The board was given a few minutes to read the January minutes. A motion to approve was made by <br />Chadlee Johnston, seconded by Trey Glascock. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Financials were presented by Bryan Glass, a motion to approve the financials was made by Casey Ressler, <br />seconded by Mark Pankaj. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Casey Ressler said there was no update on the race time clock. <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for Paris Texas Winefest on April 1P, 2019. Based on the scoring <br />system in place and a conversation with Cheri Bedford a motion to approve $1500 was made Tony Corso, <br />seconded by Casey Ressler. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen stated that he and Becky Semple are looking for new events; Dragon Boat Races and Comic Book <br />Conference. The Hotel Occupancy Tax increase for Love Civic Center renovations will be on the May ballot to vote <br />for a 2% Hotel Occupancy tax increase. Please let Paul Allen know of any negative comments. <br />Becky Semple stated that Texas Stampede will not be coming this year due to low registration. She also stated that <br />she will be attending the Dallas Home and Garden Trade Show at Market Hall on March 3,d and passing out rack <br />cards. Lastly, she stated that two pieces of legislation calling for the 130 -mile Northeast Texas Trail to become a <br />state park have been filed with the 861h Texas Legislation. <br />Motion to adjourn by Casey Ressler at 4:14 pm, <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Gina Crawford <br />
