<br />RESOLUTION NO.95-033

<br />WHEREAS, Lone Star Gas Company, a division of Enserch Corporation, did, on
<br />March 2, 1995, file a schedule of rates for gas service within the City of Paris to become
<br />effective April 8, 1995; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after having reviewed the proposed rate schedule and having received
<br />information from Lone Star Gas Company, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City
<br />of Paris, that such schedule of rates should be suspended for a period of 90 days from
<br />April 8, 1995, for study, investigation, receipt of evidence and public hearing before the
<br />City Council of the City of Paris at its Regular Council Meeting on the 8th day of May,
<br />1995; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided Lone Star Gas Company
<br />prior to its consideration by the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />that, pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, the operation of the
<br />Lone Star Gas Company's proposed rate schedule ftled with the City of Paris, Paris,
<br />Texas, on the 2nd day of March, 1995, be, and the same is hereby, suspended for a period
<br />of 90 days for further study, investigation, receipt of evidence and public hearing; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing, be, and the same is hereby,
<br />set for 6:00 o'clock P.M. on the 8th day of May, 1995, in the Council Room, City Hall,
<br />Paris, Texas, for the purpose of receiving any and all information germane to Lone Star
<br />gas Company's request for rate increases, ftled in the form of a schedule of rates with the
<br />City of Paris on the 2nd day of March, 1995.
