At
the top of the front of building, there are three anodized aluminum windows which she
intends to replace with aluminum clad wooden windows that are double hung one over
one. There is some paint applied to the brickfagade under the second story windows and
above the transom windows, which will be removed to expose the original brick.
Transom windows remain intact and will be restored. Below the canopy there are plans
to rehabilitate the lower level fagade. This includes two doors on either side of a display
window, one leading to an upper story loft on the right, and the left leading into the
storefront. Doors will be made of wood.
Mrs. Emmite then described her rear fagade improvements. The windows in the rear of
the property on the second floor will be replaced with a two over two double hung
aluminum clad wooden window. The bottom floor window is intact and will be restored
to use. In place of the existing doors, two new mahogany doors will be built, and
transom windows and a small rain canopy will be added.
Mrs. Emmite fielded questions from the commission about the project.
