Paris Visitors &,Convention Council Board of Directors Meetin <br />March 18th, 20.19 <br />Members Present:. Dir„ Linda Kapp, Chad Johnson, Dustin Broadway, Charlie Lewis, grey Glascock, Casey <br />Ressler, Bryan Hargis, Greg Wilson, Jack Neal, and Jeff Nutt, <br />'Staff Present: Paul Allen, Becky Semple, and Randy Nation <br />Chad Johnson, Vice Chairman called the :meeting to order at 4.02 <br />Minutes: A motion to approve was made by Casey Ressler, seconded by Bryan IMargis. Notion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Financials were presented by Greg Wilson and :a motion to approve financials was made by Casey <br />Ressler and seconded by Bryan Hargis, Motion passed unanirrnously, <br />Qiire tors Roopq: Becky Semple gave a report on tine North 'Texas nide hound Up at Richardson Bike <br />IMart Saturday" March .6th where 12 Bicycle Rallies came together to promote their cycling events and <br />register cyclists at a discount. The European Challlenge and Gravel Grind were promoted as well to new <br />follks registering for Tour de IParis. <br />Preside ntRrtPaul spoke about upcoming events that he is working on .such as a 2020 off-road <br />shower (3 -day event) in ,Dune, and he is also working with the Paris Downtown Association and Main Street <br />to plan a Paris (rest in September to celebrate Paris. <br />Old Business: Greg Wilson and Casey Ressler spoke about the Pump Track funding. Greg explained the <br />options that we have, Either we can self -fund and move forward with a scaled down version without <br />shade" tables and water fountains (still meed 120K to firnish), or were can wait and see if we get the grant <br />money,, Casey Ressler reported that there could be an additional 6 million in funding, and if that is tine <br />case, we should be able to be approved. However; if were start the (project, then it voids out opportunity <br />to receive any grant money., There will be more discussion in the upcoming months to determine a <br />course of action. <br />,flack Deal, Executive Director for the NETT, reported on the progress of the trail and the tractions we <br />have getting the bill passed to make it a linear park. He encouraged everyone to reach out to Senator <br />IMchols to help promote the bill„ <br />New Business: Becky ,Semple gave a report on the City of Paris "Wings Over Paris" Air Shops in May and <br />ask the Board for $2500 in funding. Trey Clascock made the motion to approve funding and was <br />seconded by Casey Ressler„ Motion passed unanimously, <br />Becky Semple presented the Dixie youth Baseball North Division 1 Ozone and 2 Ozone both requesting <br />$2500. Casey (Ressler moved to approve $2500 for each Division, and Bryan Hargis seconded the <br />motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented the funding request for Archers for Christ iocall Club's ASA Western Regional <br />Shoot requesting .$2500. Casey Ressler moved to approve 2500 for the event and Broadway seconded <br />the motion" and motion passed unanimously. <br />
