<br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-079 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Office of the Governor, Automobile Theft Prevention Authority <br />provides funding for automobile theft prevention grants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application for the Automobile Theft Prevention Grant Program grant, up to a total of <br />$100,000.00 with no matching funds; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />1. That an application be made to the Office of the Governor, Automobile <br />Theft Prevention Authority for an Automobile Theft Prevention Grant Program grant in <br />the approximate amount of $100,000.00 being 100% of the estimated cost of the <br />Automobile Theft Prevention Program. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br />hereby, appointed as the Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for grant in the form attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Karl Louis, be, and he is hereby, appointed as Project Director and <br />is hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all reports, <br />communications, assurances and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized <br />and directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute <br />funds for the City of Paris Police Department's participation in the Automobile Theft <br />Prevention Program. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of July, 1994. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />~~'-~~,,~~ <br />Mattie Cunningham, City ClerK <br />
