<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />94-149 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, provides <br />funding for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application for the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grant, at an <br />approximate total cost of $140,000.00, with 50 % to be provided by grant and 50 % to be <br />provided by the City of Paris in the form of matching funds and in-kind services; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />1. That an application be made to the Offtce of the Governor, Criminal Justice <br />Division, for a Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act grant in the approximate <br />amount of $70,000.00, being 50 % of the estimated cost of the Juvenile Justice and <br />Delinquency Prevention Program, with the City of Paris providing 50 % in matching <br />funds and in-kind services. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br />hereby, appointed as the Authorized Offtcial of said project and is authorized and directed <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for grant in the form attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Karl Louis, be, and he is hereby, appointed as Project Director and <br />is hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all reports, <br />communications, assurances and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized <br />and directed to serve as the Financial Offtcer for said project and to receive and distribute <br />funds for purposes of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of December, 1994. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mattie Cunningham, City Cler <br />/ <br />
