<br />2. City also agrees to provide officers to attend monthly meetings of the residents' <br /> <br /> <br />organization council, which said officers will consist of the Crime Prevention officer. the Police <br /> <br /> <br />Athletic League officer and the Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer. The Chief shall meet <br /> <br /> <br />quarterly with the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, or <br /> <br /> <br />Designee, in order to review progress of the grant and discuss recommendations for <br /> <br /> <br />improvements, if needed. <br />3. Police Officers of the City of Paris shall strive to walk, ride bicycles, utilize the <br /> <br /> <br />patrol unit or any other mechanism and equipment to police the PHA housing in a community <br /> <br /> <br />policing effort to improve the safety of residents and relationship between residents and law <br /> <br /> <br />enforcement, with a primary objective being to eliminate illegal drugs, their use and trafftcking. <br /> <br /> <br />4. PHA agrees to pay and CITY agrees to accept $62,400.00 for the ftrst year of <br /> <br /> <br />said service. <br /> <br /> <br />5. This agreement shall be effective and the term hereof shall commence on the 1st <br /> <br /> <br />day of December, 1994, and shall end on the 30th day of November, 1995. <br /> <br /> <br />6. In the event that PHA desires continued community policing drug elimination <br /> <br /> <br />services beyond the term of this agreement, PHA shall give written notice to CITY on or before <br /> <br /> <br />ninety (90) days before the termination date of this agreement of its desire for such service for <br /> <br /> <br />an additional term, and, upon receipt of said notice, CITY will assist in making application for <br /> <br /> <br />grants, if available. If no grant is available, City will deliver to PHA, within (30) days, the <br /> <br /> <br />annual cost at which City could deliver services, and thereafter, on or before 30 days from the <br /> <br /> <br />termination date of this agreement, PHA will execute the agreement for services for an <br /> <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR COMMUNITY POIJCING DRUG ELIMlNATION SERVICES...Psee 2 <br />
