Paris Visitors & Convention Council Board of Directors Meeti <br />April 15, 2019 <br />Members Present: Chad Johnston, Trey Glascock, Casey Ressler, Tony Corso, Brenda Wells, Ryan <br />Whitaker, Bryan Glass, Bryan Hargis, Greg Wilson, and James Wyatt. <br />Staff Present: Paul Allen, Becky Semple, and Gina Crawford <br />Chad Johnston, Chairman called the meeting to order at 4:00 <br />Minutes: A motion to approve was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Casey Ressler. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Financials were presented by Bryan Glass and a motion to approve financials was made by Casey Ressler <br />and seconded by Trey Glascock. Motion passed unanimously. <br />New Business: Becky Semple presented a funding request for Uncle Jesse Big Bass Classic, on May 41h, <br />2019. Based on the scoring system in place a motion to approve $1250 was made by Casey Ressler, <br />seconded by Bryan Hargis. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for Paris Balloon Fest, on July 19th -21St, 2019. Based on the <br />scoring system in place and that it is the same weekend as Tour de Paris, which puts heads in beds, a <br />motion to approve $2500, from non -hot VCC account, was made Casey Ressler, seconded by Trey <br />Glascock. Motion passed unanimously. This item will go into next year's non -hot budget. <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for Heritage Hall Blowout III, on October 4th and 5th, 2019. <br />Based on the scoring system in place a motion to approve $2000 was made Ryan Whitaker, seconded by <br />Bryan Hargis. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Directors Report: Becky Semple stated that ASA is next week, and we still need some volunteers for the <br />information table. <br />President's Report: Paul spoke about Trail racing across Texas. He plans to meet with the coordinator in <br />May. This is looking very hopeful to make Paris one of their races. It could bring 400-900 people. <br />Old Business: Casey Ressler announced that the Paris Pump track had been approved for federal grant <br />Becky Semple will add to the events funding application if you are staying local and where? <br />Adjourn: Casey Ressler motion to adjourn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:27 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Gina Crawford <br />
