Easton states staff is proposing to amend the subdivision regulations with requirements for the construction of sidewalks with all new development and substantial redevelopment projects. This was identified on the ADA transition plan as part of our ordinance that we needed to amend. Commissioners reviewed and discussed the draft ordinance. Public hearing was declared open. With no one speaking, the public hearing was declared closed. Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Mihir Pankaj to approve this item. Motion carried 4-3 with Lee, Sims and Flowers in opposition. 7. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lots 1, 2, 3, Block (CB 186) of the Paris Pregnancy Care Addition, located at 425 E Houston. Easton states Paris Pregnancy Care Center Inc. owns Lot 1 of City of Paris Block 186 located at 425 E Houston St. They are proposing to acquire a portion of the adjacent lots in order to develop an office building to support the main office located across the street at 500 E Houston. The owner has submitted a preliminary and final plat, which establishes a new lot line to the west and to the north. The lot north will not meet the minimum lot depth prescribed by Section 9 of the Zoning Ordinance and will require a variance before proceeding. Easton's recommendation is to approve the preliminary and final plat subject to approval of a variance for Lot 3 by the Board of Adjustment. Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by Mihir Pankaj to approve this item with City Engineer recommendations. Motion carried 7-0. 8. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat of Lots 1, 2, 3, Block (CB 186) of the Paris Pregnancy Care Addition, located at 425 E Houston. Easton states this is same plat with the same comments. Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by John Lee to approve this item with City Engineer recommendations. Motion carried 7-0.
