Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 17, 2019 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:04 p.m. by Chairwoman Carol <br />James. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Carol James, Ashley Lassiter, Marilyn Threadgill, Rebecca Umphrey, Connie Dodd and <br />Denise Kornegay. Director Priscilla McAnally and Ron Hervey were also present. <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the March 20, 2019 meeting were unanimously approved. <br />New Business: <br />Ron presented a rough draft of the Library Disaster Response Plan. Discussion followed. No action <br />needed. <br />Priscilla reported that Joyce retired March 30. Her position has been changed to a Clerk III position which <br />has been filled by Rosemary Balazs, whose Clerk I position job opening has been posted. <br />• Old Business: <br />Staff will begin advertising for the Adult Summer Reading Challenge this month. <br />• Presentations: <br />• Budget Report was presented for review with no comments. <br />• Statistical Report was presented with no comments. <br />• Friends of the Library: <br />No report <br />• Director's Remarks: <br />Director gave updates on Board positions: Connie will reach term limits this year, Carol will be able to serve <br />another term, others are not up for renewal this year. <br />The next meeting will be May 15, 2019 at 4:00pm. <br />Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:25 p.m. <br />Submitted by <br />Ashley Lassiter, Secretary <br />
