MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />May 13, 2019 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />May 13, 2019, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Steve Clifford <br />Council Members: Renae Stone; Billy Trenado; Linda Knox; Clayton <br />Pilgrim; and Paula Portugal <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Bob Hundley, Police Chief; Mike <br />Vogel, Fire Chief, Carla Easton, City Engineer; <br />Kent Klinkerman, EMS Director; Doug Harris, <br />Utilities Director; Priscilla McAnally, Library <br />Director; and Clyde Crews; Fire Marshal <br />Absent: Council Member: Derrick Hughes <br />Opening A enda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Clifford called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Finance Director Gene Anderson gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Stone led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Carolyn Williams, 1205 W. Center Street — she complained about the streets, missing <br />street signs and high grass. She said she received a certified letter about high grass, and she <br />keeps her property cut. <br />James O'Bryan, 3158 Bonham — he spoke about item number 12, and explained why he <br />did not agree with subsection L as related to the lack of a requirement for restroom access. He <br />referenced health reasons. <br />
