Paris Visitors & Convention Council Board of Directors Meeting <br />May 20, 2019 <br />Members Present: Chad Johnston, Trey Glascock, Brenda Wells, Ryan Whitaker, Bryan Glass, Bryan <br />Hargis, Renee Harvey, Jeff Nutt, Mark P,ankaj, Dustin Broadway and Dr, Linda Kapp, <br />Staff Present., Paul Allen, Becky Semple, and Gina Crawford <br />Chad Johnston, Chairman callled the imeetin,g to order at 4:01 <br />Minutes, A motion to approve was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Brenda Wells, Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Finaincial's were presented by Bryan Glass and a motion to approve financials was made by Mark Pankaj <br />and seconded by Dustin Broadway. Motion passed unanimously. <br />New Business: Becky Semple presented a funding request for Paris Body Art Expo, on July 12" — 14th, <br />2019. Based on the scoring system lin place a motion to approve $1924 was made by Renee Harvey, <br />seconded by Trey Glascock. Motion passed unanimously. <br />President's Report. Paul thanked the staff for all the work they do. He then asked that we give the <br />SDBA races $7000 instead of $6500? He reported that since Wings over Paris was cancelled there was <br />some extra money. A motion to approve was made by Mark Pankaj, seconded by Dustin Broadway, <br />Motion passed unanimously. Pauil then spoke about Trail racing across Texas, the meeting was moved <br />to May 30"'. <br />Directors Report: Becky Semple stated that the Quilt Show was a huge success with 55 room nights, <br />Goldwing Motorcycles had 75-80 for 3 to 4 nights and Uncle Jesse Fishing Tournament raised $20,000. <br />Old Business: Dr. Linda Kapp stated the vote for the Love Civic Center renovations had passed. <br />Future Business: Bryan Hargis stated that on June 15, Jenny King will bring another race to Barber Hills <br />called the Barber Hills 40. <br />Adm: : Brenda Wells made a motion, to adjourn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 4,27 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Gina Crawford <br />
