CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />AND <br />LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />2019 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT <br />Amount Requested. $12,210.00 <br />($6,105.00 for the City of Paris and $6,105.00 for Lamar County) <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BUDGET NARRATIVE <br />Amount Requested. The City of Paris, Texas, Police Department is respectfully requesting <br />$6,105.00 of the total funds allocated to the disparate jurisdictions. <br />Budget. <br />Year 1: 1. AXON Software $6,105.00 <br />TOTAL REQUEST $6,105.00 <br />Narrative: The proposed expenditure will allow the City of Paris Police Department to acquire <br />an AXON software package that will integrate body worn video with CIS records management <br />software. This software package will automatically retrieve case numbers and assign to uploaded <br />video automatically without the officer `tagging' the video. This software will save officer entry <br />of case numbers onto video evidence, thereby saving labor hours. <br />LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />BUDGET NARRATIVE <br />Amount Requested. The Lamar County, Texas, Sheriff s Office is respectfully requesting <br />$6,105.00 of the total funds allocated to the disparate jurisdictions. <br />Budget: <br />Year 1: 1. 1 -WRAP restraint system for Jail- This safe restraint system will be utilized in <br />the Lamar County jail to restrain those inmates that are combative and posing a <br />risk of harm to themselves or Detention Staff. $1512.12 <br />2. Two LifePak Express AED's manufactured by Allied 100. These AED's will <br />replace and upgrade two AED's in the jail and are compatible with Paris EMS <br />AED's as they respond to the jail on emergency situations. $ 2298.00 <br />3. Scout 11 640 IR thermal imager. Thermal imagers are used by countless law <br />enforcement agencies in the detection of wanted fugitives, missing persons, and <br />the detection of evidence articles. The FLIR handheld unit is multifunctional for <br />all LE needs and deployments and Officer Safety is greatly enhanced with the use <br />of the FLIR units. $ 2107.05 <br />4. Two- CharmTex self-protection smocks. $ 185.80 <br />TOTAL REQUEST $6,105.00 <br />
