<br />~~ECIFICATIONS FOR PAINTING <br />RUNWAY 35/17 <br />COX FIELD, PARIS, TEXAS <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Federal Specifications TT-P-85. <br />105-115 square feet per gallon of <br /> <br />Paint shall conform to <br />Application rate shall be <br />paint. <br /> <br />2. Reflective media shall conform to Federal Specification TT-B- <br />1325, Type III, high index of refraction glass spheres. <br />Application rate shall be 10-12 pounds per gallon of paint. <br /> <br />3. All runway marking shall be white <br /> <br />4. The following items will be painted accorcting to enclosed <br />plans with specifications: <br /> <br />A) Threshold Markings (north and south) <br />B) Pixed Distance Markings (north and south) <br />C) Runway Numerals (17 north and 35 south) <br />D) Centerline Markings <br />E) Taxiway Centerline markings (North-South-Middle) <br /> <br />5. At the close of each working day, all equipment and materials <br />being used by the contractor must be removed from the runways <br />and taxiways a minimum of 100 feet. <br /> <br />6. Sections to be painted are marked on the enclosed plan. <br /> <br />7. The Cox Pield Airport Manager will be responsible for checking <br />materials and dimensions to see that the work is being <br />performed according to specifications. <br /> <br />8. It will be the responsibility of the person or company bidd.ing <br />to insure that all areas prior to painting will be free of <br />loose materials such as dirt, mud, grass, gravel, sand etc. <br /> <br />9 . Upon notification to the Airport Manager by the contractor of <br />a date work will begin, the primary runway will be closed to <br />all air traffic during daylight hours with the exception of an <br />extreme air emergency. <br /> <br />10. Square footage to be painted is approximately 59,775 square <br />feet. <br /> <br />11. Taxiway centerline markings shall be painted aviation yellow. <br /> <br />12. Certification from the paint manufacturer is required. <br /> <br />13. Runway closing markers: It will be the contractor's <br />responsibility to place the appropriate runway closed markers <br />(provided by the Airport Manager) at the designated locations <br />(designated by the Airport manager) when painting is being <br />performed. <br /> <br />14. Payment: Work performed will be paid for at the unit price <br />bid for painting and shall be full compensation for furnishing <br />all labor, equipment, supplies and incidentals necessary to <br />complete work.m <br />EXHIBIIA <br />
