RESOLUTION NO. 93-087 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 93-033 authorize an application to be made to the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas through its Criminal Justice Division for the Crime Prevention Program grant; and, WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas through its Criminal Justice Division has issued its Grant Award, ent i tIed, "Cr ime Prevent ion Program Grant No. SF-94-S01-06692" for the year beginning October 1, 1993, ending September 30, 1994, in the total amount of $17,330.00 requiring matching contribution of $25,994.00; and, WHEREAS, acceptance 30) days of the date September 3, 1993; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant Award and continue to improve public safety in the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, of the same must occur within thirty of said award which occurred on BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Grantee Acceptance Notice from the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division for the "Crime Prevention Program/4, Grant No. SF-94-S0I-06692" in the amount of $17,330.00, requiring local contribution of $25,994.00, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is in all things accepted; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the Grant Acceptance Notice for "Crime Prevention Program/4, Grant No. SF-94-S01-6692" in the form of Exhibit A attached hereto.
