FIscal Year 1994

GRANT APPLICATIONS FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS

(Criminal Justice Plannln& Funds-Fund 411)
(Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act-JJDP)

The attached grant application forms are as generic as possible and may be prescribed by the Criminal Justice
Division (00) for use in various grant cycles for funding from other state and federal funding sources.

However, these instructions DQ NOT APPLY TO GRANT APPLlCA nONS OTlIER THAN THOSE FOR
STATE CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING (411) FUNDS OR FEDERAL ,JlJVEJI<'ILE JUSTICE AI'lD
DELINQUENCY pREVENTION ACT (JJDP) FUNDS. It is imperative that these instructions be read before
beginning preparation of the forms. Failure to follow these instructions may be a basis for rejecting an
application or denying a grant.

Equally imponant, before developing the budget of the grant, is knowledge of various budgetary requirements
and constraints, some of which are unique to a single funding source. For that reason, applicants should review
the Financial and Administrative Requirements Section provided as a pan of the Grant Application and
Administration Guidelines.

Express all amounts in whole dollars, rounded to the nearest dollar.

Where any budgeted item requires additional or otherwise clarifying information, such information should be
provided on plain paper and insened behind the applicable Schedule in the budgf.! forms.

Previous editions of these forms may not be used.

57
