• The Texas Historical Commission quarterly meeting will be held in the upstairs meeting room above the Paris <br />City Council Chambers beginning July 171 for 4 days. The Board is invited to a reception for them at Peoples <br />Bank. The group will tour some of the historic sites in Paris while in town for the meeting. <br />• The Sky Chief mural on South Main Street will be restored in the next few weeks. <br />• A Destination Development webinar regarding high impact video content will be shown in the Council <br />Chambers at 10:30 AM, July 241', 2019. <br />• The Paris Main Street work plan will be updated soon. <br />• The original owners of The Escape in Georgetown grew a small business into a million dollar company and <br />have started a consultant company. Possibly Main Street and Paris Downtown Association can join forces to work <br />with these successful business owners for new ideas for the Paris downtown. <br />• Cheri needs volunteers to help her with updates to the downtown map before the middle of August. <br />• The Historic Preservation Committee (HPC) meets July 101i at 4 PM. They will review a proposal for a mural <br />to be painted on the V Street wall of PCT's Brown Center. The mural would be funded by Dr. Pepper and tailored <br />to the city with historic touches. <br />• Farmer's Market has been very successful this year with 8 tables added and around 600-700 people attending. <br />• Festival of Pumpkins is quickly approaching in October. <br />• Wine Fest is being moved to April 4,, 2020 due to Easter weekend. <br />• Christmas tree lighting will be November 16, 2019. <br />• An Ice Cream Social hosted by PDA and downtown businesses will be 4-6 PM, August 2,, 2019 during the <br />monthly antique car show around the Plaza. <br />• Glee Emmite requested that the work plan be included on the agenda for the next meeting. <br />9. Laurie Redus made a motion to adjourn, second by Shelley McDowell, motion carried.
