ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1710 BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 8-107 AND 12-100 OF <br />SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE PERMITTED USE OF BILLBOARD AND <br />ADVERTISING SIGNS (29) IN GENERAL RETAIL (GR), COMMERCIAL (C), <br />CENTRAL AREA (CA), LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (LI) AND HEAVY INDUSTRIAL (HI) <br />DISTRICTS WITH SPECIFIC -USE PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO <br />EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY <br />1, 1995. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by <br />revising Section 8-107 of said ordinance by providing for the permitted use of billboard and <br />advertising signs (29) in General Retail (GR), Commercial (C), Central Area (CA), Light <br />Industrial (LI) and Heavy Industrial (HI) Districts with specific -use permits. <br />Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by <br />revising Section 12-100 of said ordinance so that such shall read as follows: <br />"12-100 <br />(52) Billboard and advertising signs in the GR, C, CA, LI and HI Districts. " <br />Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty <br />of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $2,000.00, <br />and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall <br />constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby <br />expressly repealed. <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1995. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of June, 19 <br />Eric S.
