HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS REGULAR MEETING BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING 100 GEORGE WRIGHT HOMES MINUTES OF August 20, 2019 Present at the Meeting: Gary Savage — Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Dewayne Dangerfield — Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners Shatara Moore Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners T. K. Haynes Sally Ruthart — Executive Director Kim Snow — PH Housing Inspector Patricia Pridemore — Operations Manager 1. Meeting Called to order at 12:32 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 by Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Gary Savage. 2. Having four Board Members present, a quorum, Mr. Savage thanked and welcomed everyone to the meeting. Ms. Ruthart apologized for not putting the election of officers on the agenda. Ms Ruthart told the Board of Commissioners that it will be done at the next meeting. 3. Citizens' Forum Opened and closed with no one present to speak. 4. Minutes from the .lune 27, 2019 Meeting Minutes were approved with a motion made by Mr. Dewayne Dangerfield and seconded by Mr. T. K. Haynes. Passed 4-0. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: NONE 6. NEW BUSINESS: a. Occupancy Report on Public Housing and Section 8 was given to the Board b. Financial Report was discussed and reported to the Board the $170,000 net income in the Public Housing program for FYE 06(3012019 and the loss in the Section S Program of $16,434.19. c. Ms. Ruthart reported to the Board that the HUD/REAC Inspection will be done on August 21, 2019. d. Ms. Ruthart reported to the Board that she attended Lead Housing Safe Rule training at HUD — Fort Worth on August 15, 2019. e. Ms. Ruthart explained problems the AHA is having at George Wright Homes. Ms. Ruthart requested approval from the Board of Commissioners to hire off duty police officers which was not budgeted for. The Board approved the request to hire officers at the Executive Director's discretion to assist in the criminal activity of visitors. Motion was made by Mr. T. K. Haynes and seconded by Dewayne Dangerfield. Passed 4-0. 7. RESOLUTIONS: 2019-001 SEMAP FYE 6/30/2019 Motion made by Mr. Haynes and seconded by Mr. Dangerfield. Motion passed 4-0. 2019-002 Lease changes regarding Late Fees Motion made by Mr. Haynes and seconded by Mr. Dangerfield. Motion passed 4-0.
