<br />Separate sealed bids for general construction contracts for a raw
<br />water transmission main, intake structure walkway, chemical feed
<br />system, and appurtenances will be received by the Honorable Mayor
<br />and City Council of the City of Paris at City Hall, 135 First
<br />Street S.E., Paris, Texas until 3:00 p.lII., April 20 ,1993, at
<br />which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
<br />
<br />Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of contract, Plans,
<br />Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment
<br />Bonds and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following

<br />Copies of Contract Documents may be obtained from Hayter
<br />Engineering, Inc., at the above address upon payment of $170.00
<br />for each set. The ENGINEER shall refund $85.00 per complete set
<br />of Contract Documents returned in good condition within 30 days
<br />after the date bids are received. Persons not returning the
<br />documents within this limit shall forfeit their refund.
<br />
<br />The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
<br />reject any or all bids.
<br />
<br />Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form
<br />and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for
<br />Bidders.
<br />
<br />Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally
<br />determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon) wage rate, as set forth in the
<br />Contract Documents, must be paid on this project, and that the
<br />CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment
<br />are not discriminated against because of their race, color,
<br />religion, sex, or national origin.
<br />
<br />The cost of this project is being paid for, in part, with a grant-
<br />in-aid from the Economic Development Administration, U. S.
<br />Department of Commerce. An amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00, of
<br />the total cost of this project will be financed with Federal money.
