Item No. 7 <br />TO: City Council <br />Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager <br />FROM: Bob Hundley, Chief of Police <br />SUBJECT: SEIZED PROPERTY SEALED BID SALE <br />DATE: September 26, 2016 <br />BACKGROUND: Several items seized by our Auto Theft Task Force were advertised for a sealed <br />bid auction. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The auction was advertised in the local newspaper and on social media. The <br />bids were publically opened in the city council chambers on September 23, 2019 at 3:15 PM. A <br />bid tabulation form is attached to this memo. <br />BUDGET: Any proceeds from this sale are required to go back into the Auto Theft Task Force <br />Grant. There is no other impact to the budget of the police department. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Motion to approve the sale to the highest bidder. <br />
