Love Civic Center <br />Governing Board Minutes <br />Special Called Meeting <br />Love Civic Center <br />August 8, 2019 <br />Present: Curtis Fendley, Roderick Martin, Shaneka Scott, Troy Scholl, Austin Anthony, Brian Boyer, Matt Wolf, Jay <br />Hodge, Chip McEwin and Dr. Pam Anglin. <br />Staff: Gina Crawford, Becky Semple, Randy Nation, Jon McFadden, Kern Wright, Paul Allen <br />Guest: Brad Archer <br />Curtis Fendley called the meeting to order at 4:31 pm. <br />A motion to approve the May 2019 minutes was made by Dr. Pam Anglin, seconded by Shaneka Scott. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Curtis Fendley said an overview of the June 2019 Financials were presented at the last board meeting, these were <br />accepted into the minutes. <br />Curtis Fendley stated that anyone having alcohol at an event must either have a TABC licensed person to serve or <br />they must provide a copy of event insurance with alcohol to the Love Civic Center. A motion to approve was made <br />by Troy Scholl, seconded by Chip McEwin. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Curtis Fendley stated that the price of renting pipe and drape needs to be increased due to research made of costs <br />at other rental facilities. The rate will increase to $35 for rental of pipe and drape. Also new drapes will be <br />purchased after some bids have gone out. A motion to approve was made by Matt Wolf, seconded by Dr. Shaneka <br />Scott. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Curtis Fendley stated that most repairs have been put on hold until the long-range planning committee can meet. <br />Brad Archer gave a presentation on starting the AV project at the Love Civic Center. There were three bids <br />received and the bid will be given to SKC. A motion to approve spending up to $240,000 on the new AV system <br />and install was made by Brian Boyer, seconded by Dr. Pam Anglin.
