<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />92-D35 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution No. B7-097 authorize an application <br />to be made to the Office of the Governor of the State of <br />Texas, Criminal Justice Division for a Texas Narcotics <br />Control Grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thereafter Grant No. DB-88-B02-2806, entitled <br />Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program/2 was <br />awarded and accepted on April 10, 1989; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution No. B9-057 authorize an application <br />for an extension of the Texas Narcotics Control Grant awarded <br />as Grant No. DB-880B02-2806; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thereafter Grant No. DB-88-B02-3035, entitled <br />Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program/3 was <br />awarded and accepted on August 14, 1989; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />heretofore in <br />for the Texas <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />Resolution No. 90-011 authorize an application <br />Narcotics Control Program, 1990 Grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thereafter Grant <br />Regional Controlled Substance <br />awarded and accepted on May 14, <br /> <br />No. DB-90-B02-3503, entitled <br />Apprehension Program/3 was <br />1990; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />heretofore in <br />for the Texas <br /> <br />the Ci ty Counc i1 of the City of Par is did <br />Resolution No. 91-022 authorize an application <br />Narcotics Control Program, 1991 Grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thereafter Grant <br />Regional Controlled Substance <br />awarded and accepted on May 13, <br /> <br />No. DB-91-B02-423l, entitled <br />Apprehension Program/5 was <br />1991; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />heretofore in <br />for the Texas <br /> <br />THE City Council of the City of Paris did <br />Resolution No. 92-009 authorize an application <br />Narcotics Control Program, 1992 Grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the office of the Governor has issued its Grant <br />award, entitled "Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension <br />Program/6, Grant No. DB-92-B02-5066 for the year beginning <br />June 1, 1992 through May 31, 1993, in the total amount of <br />$297,652.00, requiring local matching contribution amounting <br />to $99,218; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within thirty <br />(30) days of the date of said award which occurred on May 1, <br />1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant <br />award and continue to suppress drug activity in and around <br />the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />
