Hashmi Ex -Officio Members Present: Paul Allen, Lamar County Chamber President Pam Anglin, PJC President Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager Legal Counsel: Stephanie Harris Call to Order. MINUTES City Councilors Present: Steve Clifford, Mayor Clayton Pilgrim Renae Stone Paula Portugal Linda Knox Staff Present: Michael Paris, Executive Director Chris Stout, Economic Development Associate Paula Brownfield, Administrative Assistant Janice Ellis, City Clerk Guest(s) Present: Mary Madewell, The Paris News Mayor Clifford and Chairman Hernandez both called the joint special meeting of the Paris City Council and Paris Economic Development Corporation to order at 5:30 p.m. on November 14, 2019. Convene into Executive Session: 1) Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to (1) discuss or deliberate regarding commercial or financial information that the governmental body has received from a business prospect that the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in or near the territory of the governmental body and with which the governmental body is conducting economic development negotiations; or (2) to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect described by Subdivision (1), as follows: • Project Rainwater Falls • J. Skinner Bakery Mayor Clifford convened the City Council and Chairman Hernandez convened the PEDC Board into a joint Executive Session at 5:30 p.m.
