<br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-026 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution No. 91-095, authorize the process of <br />a grant preapplication for a Raw Water Transmission Main <br />between Pat Mayse Lake and City of Paris Water Treatment <br />Plant under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of <br />1965, being Public Law 89-163, as amended; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris was thereafter inyited to <br />make application for a grant in the amount of $1,500,000.00 <br />to fund a portion of the cost for said Raw Water Transmission <br />Main with the balance of the funding to be provided by bond <br />funds and in kind services; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />1. That an application be made to the U. S. Department <br />of Commerce Economic Development Administration for a grant <br />in the amount of $1,500,000.00, being approximately 29.7% of <br />the estimated cost of the Raw Water Transmission Main from <br />Pat Mayes Lake to City of Paris Water Treatment Plant, with <br />the City of Paris providing $3,550,000.00 in kind services <br />and funds. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of <br />Paris, be, and he is hereby appointed as the Authorized <br />Representative of said project and is authorized and directed <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the formal <br />application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A, and to accept such grant in the event that the same is <br />offered. <br /> <br />3. That Earl Smith, P.E., City Engineer, be, and he is <br />hereby appointed as Project Director and is hereby authorized <br />to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all <br />reports, communications, assurances and documents necessary <br />for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to serve as the <br />Financial Officer for said project and to receive and <br />distribute funds for purposes of constructing a Raw Water <br />Transmission Main to Pat Mayes Lake. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of April, 1992. <br /> <br />~~er~ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~"-\ ,\~~~ <br />Mattie Cunningham.
