RESOLUTION NO. 92-011 WHEREAS, the City Council of recognizes the importance of the Lamar of Education, Business and Industry to County; and, the City of Paris County CARE coalition the citizens of Lamar WHEREAS, the Lamar County CARE Coali t ion of Educat ion, Business and Industry is a catalyst to provide excellence in education through the building of partnerships among families, schools, business, industry and communities following the National Education Goals of the America 2000 Education Strategy; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris expresses its support for the Lamar County CARE Coalition of Education, Business and Industry in its quest to promote relevant academic programming appropriate to better prepare students for employment and higher education requirements of the twenty-first century; and, WHEREAS, a Summit has been planned for March 5, 1992, to develop an education strategy to implement these goals by the year 2000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the City of Paris hereby accepts the purpose and vision statements of the Lamar County CARE Coalition and is willing to commit necessary resources to become active participants in the Lamar County CARE Coalition of Education, Business and Industry. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a be delivered to the officials of Coalition of Education, Business and copy of this resolution the Lamar County CARE Industry. Passed and adopted this 24th day 1992 .
