<br />RESOLUTI ON NO. 92-103 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 30th Street N.E. from the north boundary line <br />of Loop 286 N.E., north to its dead end into the dead end of <br />Center Street and Center Street from said dead end east <br />approximately 1,230 feet to the west right of way line of the <br />proposed 31st Street N.E. is unpassable during the winter <br />months of the year and is not fronted thereon by any <br />residences, should be abandoned after public hearing and <br />recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said streets are not integrated into the master <br />street plan of the City of Paris and to permit such street to <br />continue as an open street in its condition is a danger to <br />the travelling public and could be considered an attractive <br />nuisance; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said streets serve no useful purpose as streets <br />but could have utility in the form of an easement which <br />should be retained by the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to hold a public <br />hearing by and before the Planning and Zoning commission on <br />the 4th day of January, 1993, and before the City Council on <br />the 7th day of January, 1993, in order that the public might <br />be heard concerning the proposed closing of said portion of <br />said streets, being 30th Street N.E. from the north boundary <br />line of Loop 286 N.E., north to its dead end into the dead <br />end of Center Street and Center Street from said dead end <br />east approximately 1,230 feet to the west right of way line <br />of the proposed 31st Street N.E.; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that public hearings be and they are hereby set before the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, January 4, 1993 at <br />5:30 p.m. and before the City Council of the City of Paris on <br />Thursday, January 7, 1993 at 6:00 P.M.; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission shall make such recommendation as it sees fit <br />concerning the closing of said streets and shall transmit its <br />recommendation to the City Council of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of December, 1992. <br /> <br />~;/'~ <br />rge Fisher, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />1R r1tt L " ) ~~*~J <br />attie Cunningham, Cit Cler <br />
