RESOLUTION NO. 92-085 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 92-016 authorize an application to be made to the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division for the Crime Prevention Program, SOl, grant; and, WHEREAS, the office of the Governor has issued its Grant Award, entitled "Crime Prevention Program/3, Grant No. SF-93-S0l-5540" for the year beginning October 1, 1992, and ending September 30, 1993, in the total amount of $23,400.00, requiring local contribution of $26,186.00; and, WHEREAS, acceptance (30) days of the date September 17, 1992; and, of the same must occur within thirty of said award which occurred on WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant award and continue to improve public safety in the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Grantee Acceptance Notice from the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division for the "Crime Prevention Program/3, Grant No. SF-93-S0l-5540 in the amount of $23,400.00, requiring local contribution of $26,186.00, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is in all things accepted; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the Grantee Acceptance Notice for "Crime Prevention Program/3", Grant No. SF-93-S01-5540, in the form of Exhibit A attached hereto.
