<br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-077 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore receive a request for additional water pressure <br />and service to the area along Old Bonham Road from the East <br />Boundary Line of Lot 9, City Block 213, and proceeding <br />westerly to the intersection of 25th Street S.W.; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary for protection of the <br />health and welfare of the above described area for the City <br />of Par is to extend the above descr ibed 1 ine and ac t in the <br />capacity of sponsor under the terms of Section IX of Sub- <br />division Ordinance No. 1315 of the City of Paris with any <br />refunds due under the pro rata charges being paid to the <br />City of Paris water and sewer fund; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the above described request, <br />preliminary plans, specifications and estimate of the total <br />cost of the project were prepared and delivered to the City <br />Manager and considered at the regular Council Meeting on the <br />13th day of July, 1992, and a public hearing concerning the <br />same was set for Augus t 10, 1992, wh ich public hear ing was <br />rescheduled at the regular Council Meeting on the 6th day of <br />August, 1992, for the 10th day of September, 1992, at which <br />time such public hearing was held; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after hearing the matters presented at the <br />public hearing the City Council is of the opinion that it is <br />in the best interest of the citizens of Paris and particu- <br />larly the citizens in the vicinity of the proposed project <br />that the City of Paris act as sponsor for said project, <br />which is necessary for the protection of health and welfare <br />in this area; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such project should be known as the "Pro Rata <br />10" Water Main Old Bonham Road Project" which has an <br />estimated pro rata cost of $20,900.00, and a total estimated <br />cost of $32,000.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the front foot method <br />the method described on Exhibit <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the pro rata water main extension, along Old Bonham Road <br />from the East Boundary Line of Lot 9, City Block 213, and <br />proceeding westerly to the intersection of 25th Street S.W., <br />containing approximately 1650 linear feet of P.V.C. water <br />main line, be, and the same is hereby approved and shall be <br />known as "Pro Rata 10" Water Main Old Bonham Road"; and, <br /> <br />would be equitable and is <br />A attached hereto; NOW, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Paris act as <br />sponsor of said pro rata water main extension; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the front foot rule, the <br />method described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is found to be <br />equitable and is adopted as the method to be used for <br />
