<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />91-041 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris, County of Lamar, Paris <br />Independent School District and the Paris Junior College <br />District did jointly bring a suit for collection and did <br />foreclose their joint tax lien in Cause No. 46240 in the 6th <br />Judicial District Court of Lamar County, Texas, styled "City <br />of Paris, County of Lamar, Texas, Paris Independent School <br />District and Paris Junior College District VS. Fannie Fisher, <br />also known as Fannie Fisher Jackson and J. R. Hickman"; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sheriff's Sale was had of said Lot 6, Block 4, <br />Washington Heights Addition, and there being no bidders, the <br />same was bid in by the County of Lamar as trustee for the <br />taxing parties; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has approved a project of <br />construction wherein Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive is to be <br />extended from 6th Street N.E., west to North Main Street, the <br />planned right of way of which will eliminate Lot 7, Block 2 <br />of the Phillip Margraves Addition No. 2 as an acceptable <br />building lot, which lot is currently owned by Frankie <br />Featherston; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Frankie Featherston is agreeable to accepting <br />Lot 6, Block 4, Washington Heights Addition together with <br />cleaning and grading of the same in trade for said Lot 7; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Lot 6, Block 4 Washington Heights Addition <br />will be upgraded to a building lot upon which Frankie <br />Featherston desires and intends to place a new Jim Walkers <br />Home which will upgrade the neighborhood and place said lot <br />in an active status on the tax rolls of the several joint <br />owner tax entities; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT JOINTLY RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF PARIS, COUNTY OF <br />LAMAR, PARIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND PARIS JUNIOR <br />COLLEGE DISTRICT, that Lot 6, Block 4 of the Washington <br />Heights Addition be conveyed to Frankie Featherston in trade <br />for the conveyance of Lot 7, Block 2 Phillip Margraves <br />Addition No. 2 being conveyed by said Frankie Featherston to <br />the City of Paris. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said <br />execute a deed in the form of Exhibit A <br />which form is hereby approved. <br /> <br />entities <br />attached <br /> <br />jointly <br />hereto, <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this the 8th day of April, 1991. <br /> <br /> <br />I , PARIS, TEXAS <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />ffir-. n . .~ <br />
