Paris wVisitors ,& Convention Council Board of Directors Meeting. <br />Tuesday, January 21, 2020 <br />4:00 pm <br />Members Present: Dustin Broadway, Casey Ressler, Bryan Hargis, Brittney Keys, Lea Emerson, Trey Glascock, Jay Hodge, Tony <br />Corso, John Bratcher, Bud Mistry, Mark Pankaj and Ryan Whitaker. <br />Staff Present,: Becky Semple, Gina Crawford and Paul Allen. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. <br />Minutes: A motion to approve November minutes was made by Casey Ressler, seconded by Dustin Broadway. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Financials were presented by Jay Hodge. A motion to approve financials was made by Casey Ressler, seconded by Trey <br />Glascock. Motion passed unanimously. Jay Hodge stated that Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager, that the 2% hot tax <br />increase will go into an I & S fund at the City. He did not take out of the 3rd quarter and will take out the 4th <br />quarter of approximately $50,000.00. The LCC will pay the City $63,500.00 for the bonds in February. <br />New Business: Becky Semple presented funding request for the Texas Redneck Scramble Motorcycle event on May 2nd and 3rd. <br />They asked for $1300.00, based on scoring criteria the amount recommended was $1040.00. A motion to approve $1040.00 <br />was made by Casey Ressler, seconded by Mark Pankaj. Motion passed unanimously. Becky Semple presented funding request <br />for ASA Western Division Indoor Archery Tournament January 31 -Feb. 2. They asked for $2500.00, based on scoring criteria the <br />amount recommended was $1875.00. A motion to approve $1875.00 was made by Mark Pankaj, seconded by Casey Ressler. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Gina Crawford stated the expenses for the trolley have gone up and we need to consider raising the cost for a tour. The cost <br />now is $75.00 per hour. A motion to change cost to $100.00 per hour was made by Casey Ressler, seconded by Tony Corso. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen stated that both Welcome to Paris signs should be complete by February. The videos should be started in February as <br />well. <br />Casey Ressler stated there are still some unanswered questions about the Paris Pump Track, they plan to meet with City this <br />week. <br />Becky Semple stated that Greg Wilson asked us to look into an Art Parade for Bicycles, we will be moving forward with this and <br />obtaining information. <br />Adiourn: Casey Ressler made the motion to adjourn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:37 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Gina Crawford <br />
