James O'Bryan states for those other types of businesses there are limitations with the <br />Certificate of Occupancy for the number of parking spaces and code restrictions. <br />Easton states there may be some challenges with making this building ADA compliant for <br />a thrift store. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />Jesse Bridges, 2222 Hubbard Street, states this area is 80% Commercial with uses such as <br />tire shop, pawnshop and restaurant. Bridges states that Mr. Fletcher wants a retail store for <br />things like glassware, paintings etc. <br />Keith Flowers states this is a major thoroughfare through to Pine Bluff and does not see <br />the need for East Price to be the dividing line for less intensive uses to the north. Flowers <br />states he does not foresee anyone wanting to come in and build a single family home in <br />this area. <br />Steve Fletcher, 3001 Abbott Lane, states the secondhand store would mainly sell home <br />ddcor and not clothing. <br />Sims Norment states that logically 20th Street all the way to Loop 286 is going to be <br />Commercial. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by Sims Norment to approve the petition. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />5.
