<br />>, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />91-032 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor of the State of <br />Texas, through its Criminal Justice Division is offering <br />grant assistance in the amount of $23,400.00 for the purpose <br />of crime prevention; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it <br />to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to seek <br />such assistance in said project; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Paris Police Department has planned a crime <br />prevention program requiring total funding in the amount of <br />$39,343.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Par i s has ava ilable for the Par is <br />Police Department crime prevention program $15,943.00 which <br />combined with the grant assistance available would fund the <br />total crime prevention program; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />1. That an application be made to the Office of the <br />Governor of the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division for <br />a Crime Prevention Program, SFAOI, grant in the approximate <br />amount of $24,000.00. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. !'lalone, City Manager of the City <br />of Paris, be, and he is hereby appointed as the Authorized <br />Official of said project and is authorized and directed to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris the application for <br />grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Karl Louis, be, and he is hereby appointed as <br />Project Director and is hereby authorized to execute and <br />deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all reports, <br />communications, assurances and documents necessary for the <br />completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and <br />he is hereby authorized and directed to serve as the <br />Financial Officer for said project and to receive and <br />distribute funds for purposes of crime prevention. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of March, 1991. <br /> <br />4?~~~ <br /> <br />Eric S.
