Item No. 20 <br />memorandum <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager <br />FROM: Carla Easton, PE, Engineering & Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: STRAIGHT ADDITION FINAL PLAT <br />DATE: March 11, 2020 <br />BACKGROUND: Bailey Asay owns Lot 1 Block A of Straight Addition CB 222-B located at <br />the southeast corner of 25"' NE and E. Price. He has submitted a preliminary and final plat of the <br />property in order to build a quadroplex on the lot. The lot is currently zoned Four Family <br />Dwelling District (4F). <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The owner has submitted a final plat of the property. Water and sewer <br />service is available to the lot and access is proposed off of E Price Street. It appears that the plat <br />complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations. <br />Staff's recommendation was to approve the final plat. The final plat was approved by the <br />Planning & Zoning Commission on March 2°a. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this plat was <br />approved by operation of law because it was not approved or denied by the municipal authority <br />within thirty days after the plat was filed (Texas Local Government Code Sections 212.009 & <br />212.0091). <br />RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge approval of the final plat. <br />
