M UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 418, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ORDERS: 1. Effective as of 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020, and continuing for thirty (30) days, public or private community gatherings (as defined in Section 3 below) are prohibited anywhere in the City of Paris, Texas. advised by the Office of the Lamar County judge and the Paris -Lamar County Health Department ("Health Authority"), the City Council strongly recommends canceling,rescheduling, or not attending events with more than 10 persons. The City Council along with the Office of the Lamar County Judge and the Paris -Lamar County Health Department strongly urges organizations that serve high-risk populations to cancel gatherings of more than 10 people. Furthermore, the City Council has adopted the Lamar County Commissioners Court Resolution No. R2020-007, "A Resolution of the Commissioners Court of Lamar County, Texas Recommending Appropriate Measures to Contain and Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 for the Health, Safety, and Welfare of the Community of its Citizens," a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein, for the duration of this Order.
