Item No. 12 <br />memorandum <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager <br />FROM: Carla Easton, PE, Engineering & Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: STONE RIDGE PHASE III RE -PLAT LOT 5 BLOCK B <br />DATE: April 20, 2020 <br />BACKGROUND: Stephen & Melanie Hodges own Lot 5 Block B of Stone Ridge Phase III <br />subdivision. They are proposing to construct a swimming pool in the back yard, however the <br />city has a sewer force main in a utility easement that is in the way of the proposed pool. The <br />owners have relocated the force main at their expense in order to vacate and abandon the <br />easement crossing through the middle of their back yard. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The owners have submitted a replat of Stone Ridge III Lot 5 Block B, <br />providing a 15' utility easement along the south property line for access to the existing lift station <br />and sewer force main. It appears the replat complies with the subdivision regulations with the <br />noted revision. <br />1. Include a note to reference the change from original plat <br />The final plat was approved 5-0 by the Planning & Zoning Commission on April 6th. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the replat with noted revision. <br />
