<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />QI QQQ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware <br />of a need for drug resistance training for minors who reside <br />within the corporate limits of the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the City of Paris <br />cooperate with the Paris Independent School District in <br />presenting such a program, for which certified police officer <br />time would be made available to be trained in the Drug Abuse <br />Resistance Education (DARE) Program and would be made <br />available to conduct such training for the chosen age group, <br />being 5th grade students; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such participation could only be justified to <br />the extent that grant money is procured to finance the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that the City Council is committed to participate with Paris <br />Independent School District in the Drug Abuse Resistance <br />Education (DARE) Program to the extent that money is made <br />available through grants to finance same; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manag~r of the <br />City of Paris, Michael E.
