RESOLUTI ON NO. 91-066 WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is a member of the Ark-Tex Council of Governments; and, WHEREAS, in accordance with the Bylaws of the Ark-Tex Council of Governments the Board of Directors of same shall be composed of members elected or appointed by the member- ship; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris is entitled to appoint three members of the Board of Directors of Ark-Tex Council of Governments as provided in the Bylaws of the same; and, WHEREAS, George Fisher, Mayor of the Ci ty of Par is, recommends the appointment by the City Council of the City of Paris of George Fisher as Eric Clifford's successor, and Don Shelton as E. W' Booth's successor, to serve until their successors are duly qualified or installed or until they become disqualified to so serve; and, WHEREAS, George Fisher, Mayor of the City of Paris, recommends the appointment by the City Council of the City of Paris of Billy Joe Burnett to serve as a member of the Execut i ve Commi t tee of the Ar k-Tex Counc i 1 of Governments, to serve until his successor is duly qualified or installed or until he becomes disqualified to so serve; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That George Fisher and Don Shelton, be, and they are hereby appointed as members of the Board of Directors of Ark-Tex Council of Governments, and that Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby recommended for appointment to the Executive Committee of the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, to serve until their successors are duly qualified or installed, or until they become disqualified to so serve.
